LEFT: One Thousand Pyramids No later than 1950s. eBay purchase 2014. 79"x85" Fabric: Cotton. Batting:
Medium weight. Backing: Cotton print alternating wide bands of black, white and gray gingham with a
broad band of turquoise blue and tiny-checked white stripes. Edge: The back is brought 1 inch to the front
and caught by hand. Piecing: Mostly by machine with some hand stitching. Quilting: By hand, 5 stitches
to the inch, along one side or the other of each seam line. Condition: Excellent. Comment: This was sold
at auction without a reserve. When I left feedback for the seller, I wrote "I feel like I got a bargain." He
answered "You did.".
