The Opening session began with a Parade of Chapters - each chapter entering in with Ladies, Teens and Lords and
chapter banners. Chapter unity was definitely displayed. Lady Drema Lee Woldman, National President present-
ed Area VI with the State of The Organization which was well received. Thursday evening ended with a welcome
reception for the Ladies and Lords in the suite of Area Director Lady Brenda Dodd and a welcome reception for
the Teens.

Lady Hope Hampton Crawford, Area VI Senior Citizens Chair Facilitator. Workshop presenters were Melanie W.
Gironda, PhD, MSW Associate Research Professor USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and Delma Dixon,
Personal Caretaker and Administrator at the Adult Day Health Care Center where they service over 100 seniors
daily where their mission is to deliver precise health care but also to improve the condition of the person as a
whole. They tailor activities and interactions that encourage the mind.

Area VI was treated with poetry, singing and a presentation from Teen Dymond Walker who provided a presenta-
tion of her award winning business plan, “My Perfect Plus” that was developed through her participation in the LA
Urban league and NFTE Biz Summer Camp, 2016. Teen Dymond won 1st Place in the Biz Camp.
