Suburban Bayou City Chapter  The Suburban Bayou City Chapter located in Houston Texas cheerfully support
                             Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s). On Saturday, October
                             29, 201, Top Teen Imari Hawkins participated in The Black College Expo at
                             Houston NRG Center. Black College Expo Houston connected students
                             directly to colleges, including historically black colleges and universities, to
                             career, internship, and vocational opportunities.

                             Top Teen Imari Hawkins visited several HBCU's including Fisk University. She
                             received helpful information to assist her and her parents through the
                             admission & financial aid processes. Celebrity entertainers entertained the
                             visitors at Black College Expo Houston 2017. A wide range of products and
                             services related to education, training, job and career sectors from the leading
                             exhibitors such as scholarship, study, career services, financial aid solution were
                             showcased.

                              Top Teens and their Parents are encouraged to attend college fairs. Several
                              hundred visitors including students, parents, school administrators and
                              community leaders attended the event. The Black College Expo, an event that
                              features more than 50 of the 104 historically black colleges and universities in
                              the United States, will travel to six cities from September 2017 to March 2018.
                              The National College Resources Foundation (NCRF) created the Black College
                             Expo to provide students of color with access to college admissions
                             representatives from some of the most prominent HBCUs in the country.

                                                                 Highway program began right here in Texas in 1985. Since then, it’s
                                                                 grown into a nationally and internationally recognized litter-
                                                                 prevention effort, saving taxpayers’ dollars and keeping our rights of
                                                                 way clean. Adopt-a-Highway currently has more than 3,800
                                                                 participating groups across the state, and TxDOT salutes those
                                                                 thousands of individuals, like the members of TLOD and TTA who

                                                                   dedicate their time to actively make a difference and keep Texas
                                                                   beautiful. The El Paso Chapter has a two-mile stretch of highway
                                                                   54 for two years. Highway cleanup is also in support of Me and
                                                                   My Mentor Program. Clean up dates are as follows: 2017 -
                                                                   October 28 and December 2 and for 2018 - April 14 and June 9.
