Area II

Teen Joshua White Greetings Area II Top Teens,
Area II TTA President It is with great pleasure that I welcome each one of you back to the
2017 – 2018 program year. I am Teen Joshua White and I am your
re-elected Area II TTA President.
I greet you on behalf of Area II; and am excited to be working with
each of you. I hope that our time together will be fun, inspiring and
informative. During the previous program year, under the awesome leadership
of Lady Pat Cason, we’ve had officers training and have established a system
of reporting both project and program activities to the Area II 1st and 2nd
Vice Presidents. We also have done some phenomenal things during our last
program year. We collectively fundraised and raised amazing amounts for St.
Jude Children’s Research Hospital and we turned TTA purple and Walked for
Babies with March of Dimes. We also enjoyed each other’s company at our
annual Area II Conference in Virginia Beach and many of us met again in St.
Louis for Syn Lod 2017.
I am excited to be working with each chapter in Area II and am
looking forward to sharing new ideas and experiences. As we begin to roll up
our sleeves and get to work, I ask each of you to take a moment and
remember that both Top Ladies of Distinction and Top Teens of America are
organizations rooted in the spirit of giving back and of service. We give back
to our friends and families, to our local communities, to our nation and to our
world. In the words of our immediate past National TTA President, Gerra
Gistand, “as a Top Teen we don't think of serving as a duty but a great
opportunity. Through our service to others, we can change the world. We
should take advantage of every opportunity to develop ourselves as
individuals while being of service to the organization and the world.” Our
organization needs your time, your talents and your voice. I challenge you to
be active in your chapters, be supportive of each other and live our motto,
“Participation is our foundation as leaders of tomorrow.”
In closing, I would like to thank all the TLOD chapters and advisors
in Area II and nationally who provide constant support, mentoring and
encouragement. And I would like to welcome our newly elected Area II
Director, Lady Sandra Clark. I am both honored and excited that she is
heading our leadership team. And as always, I extend a huge thanks to Lady
Pat Cason, our fearless leader and all the phenomenal Top Ladies who
encourage, inspire us daily. When you see any of them, please be sure to
thank them for all that they do.
Lastly, I would like to thank every Top Teen and Top Lady in Area II
for the huge support that you gave me in my bid for National TTA office.
