Historically, the church and community pf faith has played a significant role in the development of our member
schools which were founded upon the principles of the church and UNCF’s mission of providing Hope, Help and
Opportunity for deserving African American youth. In an effort to continue the legacy, UNCF invites your chap-
ter to invest in “Better Futures” for the young men and women we serve.

Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. is committed to serve as National Workplace Campaign Volunteers for UNCF
across the country. This includes attending company fairs, events and brief speaking engagements. Mr. Kevin
Kentish, UNCF Regional Director Workplace Initiatives will present at Parliamen Top.

Sunday, February 25, 2018 is designated National UNCF Sunday.

A number of efforts have been made to better define the concept and its relationship to other skills and forms of
literacy. Although other educational goals, including traditional literacy, computer literacy, library skills and critical
thinking skills, are related to information and important foundations for its development, information on literacy
itself is emerging as a distinct skill set and a necessary key to one’s social and economic well-being in an increasing
complex society.

Our goal in TLOD Literacy is to enhance , partner, donate, provide and support literacy through creative projects
such as designing and publishing a Literary Book. The book is composed of works by Ladies and Teens.
Through educational institutions and resources with our volunteer efforts, TLOD is impacting the issue of literacy
resulting in an investment in the values that support, enhance and sustain our communities.
