The TLOD/A-TEAAM Program (a partnership with the Medgar and Merlie Evers Foundation and the
Juanita Sims Doty Foundation) has as its purpose the following: “…to improve the quality of life for young

males of color by equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge and support provided by caring mentors…to

inspire young males of color to honor their own lives and the lives of their forefathers as they interact with the
village of role models and mentors…to provide guidance, utilizing a meaningful curriculum, to empower young
men as they matriculate through life as youth and then through life with an articulated success…to motivate and

encourage young males to participate positively in their communities and make positive life choices.
