The Human Factors Intervention Matrix (HFIX) is designed to
help you accomplish these goals. Specifically, HFIX consists of a
series of probes or questions that help you uncover multiple
interventions to address a problem.
The questions are grouped around five different approaches to
improving safety:
o Environment
o Task
o Technology
o Individual/Team
o Supervisory/Organizational
As a result, HFIX facilitates the generation of a greater number
and variety of solutions for the same problem. The outcome is
a more comprehensive list of possible solutions to choose from.
