It was very wet and muddy, but for a split second a
rainbow formed in the sky.

This brought a moment of comfort to me, as
rainbowstended to show up in my life at auspicious
moments.

However, this was not one of them as the road
quickly became very steep, curvy, muddier and
muddier.
All I could see were a few sheep and cattle beyond
the gate up ahead. Finding new courage as I
approached the gate, I got out of the car, opened it and
drove my “new” car through. I then closed the gate
making sure no animals slipped through and headed up
the hill to what I thought was the youth hostel.
