Baptist Health South Florida Opens Field Hospital
in Marathon to Care for Middle Keys Community
After Hurricane Irma
The temporary hospital on
the campus of Fishermen’s
Community Hospital, which is
closed due to Hurricane Irma,
opened for patients on Tuesday,
Sept. 26.

when flooding from Hurricane Matthew prevented highway access for some areas to the local hospital.
