Sonal Mehta, MD
Dr. Sonal Mehta joined the medical staff at North Shore
Medical Center in March 2018. He is a board certified
neurologist, and he did his fellowship training in vascular
and interventional neurology. Dr. Mehta is additionally
board certified in vascular neurology and neuro critical
care. He received his medical degree from BJ Medical
College in Ahmedabad, India, and he did his neurology
residency training in Cleveland, Ohio. He also did a
Fellowship training at University Hospital in Saint Louis.
Dr. Mehta served as an assistant professor in the depart-
ment of neurology at the University of South Carolina
School of Medicine prior to moving to Florida. He is a
Fellow of the American Heart Association as well as a member of the American
Academy of Neurology.
Hakan Charles-Harris, MD
With more than 20 years of surgical experience, Dr.
Hakan Charles-Harris serves as the medical director of the
Comprehensive Breast Institute at North Shore Medical
Center. With a passion for helping women live stronger
and healthier lives, Dr. Charles-Harris plays a leading role
in providing patients with high quality breast care using
North Shore’s innovative technology. Dr. Harris earned his
medical degree from the University of West Indies in
Kingston, Jamaica and completed his internship and resi-
dency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York
City. He is double board certified by the American Board
of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Medicine.
Dr. Charles-Harris is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
