Due to sweeping and dusting furniture, etc.,
dust particles mix in the air. Hence, air also
contains dust particles. They make the air
impure. Not only dust particles but smoke also
makes the air dirty. Smoke is given off when
something burns. This smoke coming out from
the chimneys of factories, vehicles and burning
of garbage, etc., mixes with the air.
Impure air is called polluted air . Polluted air is not good for health.
Air also contains germs . Germs from a sick person get mixed with the air
when they sneeze or cough.
Keeping the Air Clean
We must breathe in fresh and
clean air. To breathe in fresh air
we should :
0 keep our doors and windows
open so that fresh air may
enter our house.
0 play in open place.
0 exercise in a park.
0 do not sleep with face covered.
0 plant more trees because plants take in carbon
dioxide and give out oxygen.
