Wind

Moving air is called wind .

                When wind blows gently, it
            is called breeze .

                When wind blows very fast,

it is called storm . It usually
comes with thunder, lightning Breeze Storm

and rain and blows things away.

Air has Direction : Air always blows in a
direction. This direction can be seen in the

movement of dry clothes, smoke from the
            chimneys, etc.

We can also know the direction of wind with

the help of a wind vane . A wind vane is fixed
high up on a building. The beak of the cock or

the head of arrow shows us in which way the
            wind is blowing. Wind Vane

Air has Force : Moving air has a lot of force in it. It blows everything that

comes in its way. A storm can even uproot trees and blow the sheds of

            kuccha houses.

Air has Speed : Strong wind has a very high speed. It can change the
direction of things like kites, balloons, smoke, etc.

Wind as a Friend : Moving air helps us in many ways.
