When the Sun gives heat, the water of rivers, ponds, seas and lakes changes
into water vapour due to evaporation. This water vapour is light and rises up.

It cools to form clouds by the process of condensation. Tiny drops cling
together to form large drops. They become so heavy that they fall as rain.

Rain water flows into rivers, lakes, etc. In colder places, these water

drops come down in the form of snow. The snow melts and turns into water
and flows into streams and rivers. Thus, the water cycle is continuous

process in nature. Water cycle is the journey of water from the Earth to the
sky and back to the Earth.

! All living things need water to stay alive.
! Rain is the main source of water.

! We should keep clean water in closed containers.
! We should drink clean water.
! We should not waste water.
! We use water in various activities like drinking, washing, cooking,
                                cleaning, etc.
! Water is found in three forms like solid, liquid and gas.
! Water cycle is a continuous process in nature.
