Devise a multiplayer Shoot ‘Em Up game to be played on
top of the worldwide web. Software would be downloaded
which would allow players to see each other if they
visited a website at the same time. Players could hide at
remote and obscure amateur web pages or join the fray
on popular sites such as MSN or Amazon. The owners of

303the websites themselves would generally be oblivious to
the games being played out on their pages but could join
in by inserting graphic elements from the game, such as
black holes or landmines, into the design of their pages.

Devise a Truth or Dare game for mobile phones. A
handset could be placed between players and then9 October 2001
spun. Whomever it pointed to would choose their fate by
texting ‘truth’ or ‘dare’ to a shortcode number. A Editor’s note:
question or challenge would then be sent to the phone George Cockerill
