DEVELOPING NEW BUSINESS IDEAS44
Take a blank sheet of lined paper. Read through the list below and each
time you find a description or characteristic which applies to you, write
down its number on the sheet of paper. There is no particular number
of characteristics you must choose.
After you have completed this, refer to the key printed at the end of the
exercise in order to write next to every number on your paper whether
it was an L or an R. Count up the number of Ls and Rs. Whichever
number is higher represents your dominance.
If the numbers are close, that means you use both sides of your brain
equally. Having talents in both left- and right-brain thinking, together
with the ability to shift appropriately and effortlessly between the two
styles, puts you in the position of the master whole-brain thinker,
exemplified by Ingvar Kamprad of IKEA whom we will meet later on in
this chapter.
