ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Many of the ideas in this book have come from projects I’ve
worked on for my clients. I would like to thank all of them for their
generous permission to use their campaigns as examples of great
copywriting. Other ideas have been inspired by great copywriting,
and occasionally design, that I have had nothing to do with but still
respect hugely. To those companies and copywriters I would also
like to extend my thanks.
Once again I have found it an educational and inspiring process to
work with Martin, Pom and the team at Marshall Cavendish. Their
advice, guidance, and friendship have made writing this book as
much a pleasure as a job of work.
Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to my wife, Jo, and my
sons, Rory and Jacob, whose patience when Daddy was hammering
away at the keyboard will, I hope, be repaid when this book appears
