While Matapang went to
enlist another man to be
murdered, Pedro and Padre
Diego baptized his newborn
daughter with the consent of
the Christian wife. When
Matapang heard the news, he
was furious and casted spears
at Pedro. Pedro dodged the
spears, but he did not want to
leave Padre Diego behind.
Some believed that if only
Pedro had weapon, he could go
hand in hand with Matapang.
Unfortunately, Padre Diego
does not allow missionaries to
bring weapons with them.
