7. ACTION PLAN TO CURB ACCIDENTS
a) CUG SWITCH ON/OFF STATUS:-
Random checking of Loco Pilot’s Closed User Group (CUG) /
Personal mobile phone status while on duty and Surprise mobile
check at en-route stations at an average of 2350 per month has
reduced the menace of keeping the mobile on.
b) AMBUSH CHECKS:-
Ambush checks with speed guns done at an average of 520 per
month by TRSO officers and supervisors. This has alerted crew to
maintain speed at CD spots/Loop lines.
c) SPEEDO METER ANALYSIS:-
Speedometer monitoring data downloading and analysis at an
average of 183 per month at all lobbies is being done.
SPM analysis and VCD data analysis vis-à-vis CTR timings and
counseling the Running staff to run at maximum permissible
speed and also cross checking the safety parameters.
d) SPM ANALYSIS AND VCD DATA ANALYSIS:-
To monitor the situations and activities over Crew Booking Lobbies,
Crew Running Rooms, Trip Sheds and Railway Consumer Depots,
Surveillance CCTVs with visual record facility are installed and
maintained.
e) CVVRS ANALYSIS:-
Crew video and voice recording system data is being downloaded
from the locomotives and analysis is being done. On an average of
65 CVVRS videos were analyzed.
8. STAFF OVERDUE REFRESHER, PERIODICAL MEDICAL EXAMINATION (PME)
No staff on running duty is overdue for Technical, G&SR Refresher courses
and Periodical medical examination (PME).
