3. Innovations/Developments:

i. Gadget for fixing bolts on supporting device in CBC coaches:
Secunderabad coaching depot has developed a gadget to fix
the bolts of supporting device in CBC coaches. After
replacement of broken springs or worn out bolts in supporting
device, the bolts have to be tightened by compressing the

springs which was being done by putting weight on the assembly.
With this gadget, tightening of bolts can be done easily and
safely.

Application of gadget on supporting device

ii. Development of gadget for checking of Automatic Pressure
Modulator (APM)s on wagons: Freight depots at RDM, BPA, DKJ,
SNF have developed a gadget to check APMs on wagons during
examination of rakes in yard. It is provided with quick coupler to
fit easily to the APM device and is very handy to carry by staff.
