ii) WHEEL FLOATING OF WAG12B

A practical demonstration was conducted at ELS/LGD on 05.11.2021
to get knowledge of procedure for lifting (Wheel Floating) wheel set
no.2 in WAG12 locomotive. Loco no.60007/WAG12B/SRE/NR was used
for this demonstration. This assignment was carried out for the first time
over the Indian Railways by ELS/LGD Breakdown staff without any
technical know-how of the WAG-12 bogies and support from ART.

iii) During the year 2021-22 shed has disposed off 771.88MT of ferrous
scrap which is highest ever in the history of shed since inception in
1995. Earlier during the year 2019-20 shed has disposed off 401.3MT of
ferrous scrap which was the highest. Shed has become scrap free
shed from 31.12.2021.

iv) SCRAP TO CRAFT FROM RELEASED LOCOMOTIVE ITEMS

ELS/LGD has designed and fabricated items for utilization of staff by
using released locomotive items under scrap to craft as per the

initiative of DRM/SC and created,
i) Horizontal storage bins for nuts and bolts by using hollow
mounting pedestals of condemned LP & ALP seats for storage
of small sized nuts and bolts. Nuts and bolts of various sizes are
