PROPERTIES
GEATAN FC is a neutralizing and retanning tannin with optimal
neutralization action. Due to its chemical nature it operates in a
uniform and deep form, not increasing the pH too much. Besides
neutralizing, its retanning power provides advantages on the
conventional neutralizers. These are: fuller leathers, firmer grain,
uniform touch, and standardization of the retanning agents and
fatliquors penetration. GEATAN FC is recommended for all types of
articles, particularly for leathers demanding a complete neutralization
with a low pH. It is very efficient in neutralizing chrome-vegetable
mixed leathers as it favors the vegetable retanning agents penetration.
It is advised to use a quantity from 1.0 up to 2.5% on the shaved
weight. It can be used alone or combined with GEATAN NT.
