and he was able to get back to pit lane for the restart as the team fixed the

He came under pressure from Benny Solis Jr. and battled with the Team H35 Honda rider for the opening portion of the race,
but he was eventually forced to drop back to fifth position. At that point, he was joined by a charging Conner Blevins as the two of them duked it out for the number one spot in the Superstock 600 class, riding within tenths of one another for practically the entire race. It was all about managing the wet tires on a drying track as the final laps approached and Richardson maintained his composure as the grip began to go away. He did his best to slipstream Blevins to the finish line on the final lap, but he came up just short as he missed out on the win by three tenths of a second. Nonetheless, he secured his first podium finish of the season after what could have been a DNF, placing him in positive spirits for the second race. He managed a similar start in the second race as he worked himself into fifth position overall in the early stages, leading the Superstock 600 class handily for the opening laps. Richardson was joined by Blevins on the third lap yet again and lost the lead one lap later, but he learned from his fellow Kawasaki rider’s lines as he stuck to his tailpipe for the entire race. The two of them were able to match the pace of Benny Solis Jr. and Brandon Paasch, finishing only a couple of seconds behind the two Super- sport competitors. Richardson missed out on the win by under a second yet again, but he remained consistent throughout the weekend and proved himself capable of scoring a podium finish in both dry and wet conditions, making him a serious threat in the championship as the series heads west.
