JESSE FLOCK
It was incredibly apparent to anyone that paid attention to the spring events that Jesse Flock is undoubtedly one of the baddest dudes in the B class. The Oklahoma native pushed the pace at the Daytona RCSX, ultimately resulting in a crash that ruined his chances of taking the victory spoils
in the 450 B division. Nonetheless, Flock finished every other moto in the top three and earned third overall in Schoolboy 2 and second overall in 250 B, making him one of the most successful riders at the Daytona International Speedway throughout the weekend. Flock exhibited some incredible speed once he arrived at Freestone for the JS7 Spring Cham- pionship, but bad luck and poor starts held him back from achieving his ultimate goal. The Kawasaki rider
was forced to overcome adversity on many occasions, most notably blitzing through the field after a first turn crash to finish second in the first 250 B Lim- ited moto. Although he never stood
on the top step of the podium, Flock certainly exhibited the speed to do so and collected a handful of overall podiums to bolster his confidence for the remainder of the season.
NATE THRASHER
Nate Thrasher made one of the most electric moves of the offseason following his short stint with Team Green Kawa- saki, joining the ranks of the Orange Brigade KTM squad for 2018 and be- yond. The Tennessee native had years of experience on the KTM prior to the 2017 season and he’s looked quite comfort- able since rejoining the manufacturer. Thrasher established himself at the top of the Supermini class after two days of rac- ing at the Daytona RCSX, winning both main events in dominant fashion with exceptional whoop speed and grueling determination on his side. He would have earned both number one plates in the Supermini class at Spring A Ding Ding
as well, but a hard crash in his final moto of the weekend left him out of contention for the overall. Nonetheless, Thrasher has been arguably the most impressive rider throughout the spring events in
the Supermini division. He finished all four motos at the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship within the top three and added a moto win to his resume, but a couple of mediocre starts prohibited him from reaching the top step of the podium. The Orange Brigade backed rider is look- ing renewed and refreshed with the new outfit in 2018 and it seems as though he’ll continue to improve throughout the rest of the year.
