Jett Reynolds put on an uncharac- teristic display of racing at the 2018 Daytona RCSX, only finishing on the overall podium in the Supermini 1 class after a pair of DNFs eliminated him from contention in the Supermini 2 division. The Team Dunlop Elite rider still managed a moto win and
a third place result in the Schoolboy 1 class aboard his underpowered Supermini, but it’s not what the young Team Green Kawasaki rider has come to expect of himself. The Californian was clearly determined and fired up by his shortcomings
in Daytona and he used them as motivation the following week at the JS7 Freestone Spring Champion- ship, winning a total of two number one plates in the 85cc (9-12) and the Mini Sr. 1 divisions. Reynolds took the checkered flag first in five of his motos throughout the week and rarely finished far from the front of the field, ending the week with four top five overall finishes out of five classes.
CHASE PRINCE
Chase Prince really found his
form in the Supermini class at the Daytona RCSX, finishing both of the stacked divisions with the top five. His best finish came in the Super- mini 1 division in which he collected a third place overall, improving upon his fifth place finish in the
heat race. Prince was in contention for another overall podium finish in the Mini Sr. 2 division, but a small mistake in the main event held him back from fulfilling his potential.
The Tennessee native moved on from the World Center of Racing and made the trip to Kemp, Texas for the first annual Spring A Ding Ding. His success continued in both Supermini divisions once racing
got underway at Underground MX, finishing all four of his motos within the top five of a highly competitive class. Prince scored two third place results in both second motos and placed himself on the overall po- dium in both classes, earning third overall in Supermini 1 and second overall in Supermini 2.
