JASON ANDERSON
Jason Anderson has solidified himself as a nightly contender for wins in the 450 class. He made himself that contender
by showing blazing fast speed week in and week out. Despite that speed he has only been able to win one race this year and that was at the season opener at Anaheim. His Achilles heel this season has been his starts. Which is ironic because he nailed all three holeshots at the Monster Energy Cup this offseason. But in nearly every race this season, Anderson
has found himself sitting outside the top 5 after lap
one and that has severely
hurt his chances of battling
for wins. It allows the race leaders to get away and
with the amount of speed
and talent in the class this year, it is very difficult to
catch up once set behind. >> The most tantalizing thing about Anderson’s sea-
son so far is that he has finished inside the top 5
in all but one race despite those bad starts. If he has the speed to dice through the pack consistently like that, just imagine how well he would do if he could get a good start. I have a feel- ing he would end up right where he did at the season opener in Anaheim, the top of the box.
