COLLIN ALLEN
When you see a competitor of Collin Allen’s age, make the trek from Texas to California, you must know that
he’s serious about his craft. While other guys who compete in the twelve to thirteen age bracket are focus-
ing on local little league and soccer practices, Allen is riding off into the sunset, chasing his dream with every ounce of his being. With determina- tion spewing out from underneath his helmet, his drive to the front played
a crucial role in his results for overall finishes at the FMF Cal Classic. Land- ing inside the top three multiple times, he seemed to ascend his finishing position with every passing moto.
You could truly tell when he began to gel with the track, and feel comfort- able behind the bike. Walking away with solid fourth, and seventh place overalls, he hopes to keep climbing the ladder of success, as the months continue to pass.
ETHAN MANN
Hailing from Argyle, Texas, Ethan Mann is no stranger to a tough, hard-working atmosphere of blue collared labor. He was built upon a foundation of reaping what you sow, and his results thus far in
his amateur career are a true testament of that. Each year, he’s been a constant threat at Loretta Lynn’s, landing on the podium multiple times, and earning finish- es of second and third (2014), and two second place overalls, last year in the 125cc classes (both B/C and Schoolboy). He stayed on the 2-stroke for a variety of reasons, but one was to show that he channels the inner aggression and true skill it takes to compete aboard the machine. It gave him an attack mentality, which has escalated into solid finishes on both 250, and 450 four-stroke ma- chines. The B class better watch out, because Ethan Mann is built to endure and outlast, anyone he chooses to compete against.
