                       STORYTELLING #12
                   Create a stage with kids sitting around it in chairs.   Tell story on
         p. 42 “El lobo quiere hambrguesa”  Have kids act out the story with props.
         Hay un lobo.  ¿Hay un lobo o hay un gato? El lobo se llama Bob. ¿El lobo se

         llama Mac? ¿El lobo se llama Bob?    El lobo esta triste y llora porque no tiene
         una hamburguesa. ¿El lobo esta triste o esta feliz? ¿Tiene o no tiene hambur-
         guesa?  El lobo llora y canta, “me gusta comer, me gusta comer hamburguesas,   IMPORTANT!
         hamburguesas . . .”  El lobo tiene una idea.  El lobo va a Six Flags. . ¿El lobo va a
         la casa o va a Six Flags?  ¿El lobo va a McDonalds?  El lobo va a Six Flags, pero   Before the story, remind kids that Parent Day is

                       GAME

                  PLAY SLAP! - Use provided cards in kit
         (DO NOT COMBINE SETS!)

         1.   Kids get one set per partner pair and put the
             cards out picture side up.

         2.   The teacher calls the words out and the first             VOCABULARY
             child to “slap” the card puts the card in their
             own pile
         3.   Keep going until all the cards have been
             slapped  For the last one, say, “first person to say the last card”
         4.   Play with both sets of slap cards, relevant to vocabulary learned.
         Variations:  challenge the kids to see how many words they can say by looking at the
         pictures.     For fun, have winners play winners and the others find new partners.

                       CLOSING



         Sit in a circle and sing, “adios clase ” song.   Have each kid say, “nos vemos” to you as
         you say goodbye. Give kids a high five!
                Adiós Emma, adiós Riley, adiós Jackson . .  . Nos vemos muy, muy pronto.
                Adiós  Jenna, adiós Nora, adiós Profe Dunn, nos vemos muy, muy pronto . .
