                   Create a stage with kids sitting around it in chairs.   Tell story on
         p. 37  “El gato tiene hambre” Have kids act out the story with props.
         Hay un gato. ¿Hay un gato o hay un perro? Hay tortuga?
         El gato tiene hambre. Tiene mucha hambre.
         ¿El gato tiene hambre o no tiene hambre? ¿Tiene mucha hambre?
                                                                        VOCABULARY
         El gato ve un ratoncito. ¿El gato ve pizza? Ve ratoncito? Ve una tortuga?
         El gato quiere comer al ratoncito. ¿El gato quiere comer o no quiere comer?
         El gato corre.  El ratoncito corre.
         ¿El gato agarra el ratoncito? El ratoncito escapa?

         El gato corre y agarra al ratoncito.  Oh no!   El gato se come el ratoncito. ¡Adios ra-
         toncito! ¿El gato come fruta? Come pizza o come el ratoncito?

                  1.  Have kids color the “El gato tiene hambre” coloring sheet.

         2.  First, have kids grab certain colors: Clase agarra azul, agarra rojo . . .
         3.  After kids have the colors you want them to have, retell the story
             and also practice colors.
                                                                        VOCABULARY
         4.  Talk about the story: Hay un gato. ¿El gato es azul o verde?

         5.   Ask questions about the story as you go and they color.

         6. Encourage the kids to take home their picture and tell their parents
         about it in Spanish!

         Sit in a circle and sing, “adios clase ” song
                   Have each kid say, “nos vemos” to you as you say goodbye. Give kids a
                 high five!
                 Adiós Emma, adiós Riley, adiós Jackson . .  . Nos vemos muy, muy pronto.
                 Adiós  Jenna, adiós Nora, adiós Profe Dunn, nos vemos muy, muy pronto .    IMPORTANT
