                       STORYTELLING #8

         Create a stage with kids sitting around it in chairs.   Tell story on p. 32 “El
         paque, La pizza y el chocolate” ” Have kids act out the story with props.
         Hay una nina. La nina se llama Emma ¿La nina se llama Maria o se llama Emma?

         Emma esta en el parque. ¿Emma esta en la casa o Emma esta en la casa?

         Hay un gato.   El gato esta en el parque. ¿hay un gato o hay una tortuga?   REINFORCE

         Hay un perro.  El perro esta en el parque. ¿hay un perro o hay un cocodrilo?
         Emma tiene chocolate y pizza. ¿Emma tiene pizza? Emma tiene fruta?
         El gato NO tiene chocolate y pizza.  ¿El gato tiene chocolate? Pizza? Fruta?
         Hay un problema.  El perro NO tiene chocolate y pizza. ¿El perro tiene o no tiene?  El perro y
         el gato corren a Emma y agarran . . . pero Emma grita, ?Emma corre?  ¡PARA! Emma le da
         chocolate y pizza al gato.   ¿Emma grita para o grita come?    Emma le da chocolate y pizza al
         perro. El gato y el perro comen el chocolate y estan felices.

                       GAME: SLAP

                  PLAY SLAP! - using your provided cards (DO NOT COMBI-
         NE SETS!)

         1.   Kids get one set per partner pair and put the
             cards out picture side up.

         2.   The teacher calls the words out and the first child       VOCABULARY
             to “slap” the card puts the card in their own pile

         3.   Keep going until all the cards have been slapped
             For the last one, say, “first person to say the last
             card”
         4.   Play with both sets of slap cards , set #1 and set #2
         Variations:  challenge the kids to see how many words they can say by looking at the
         pictures.     For fun, have winners play winners and the others find new partners.

                    Sit in a circle and sing, “adiós clase ” song

           Have each kid say, “nos vemos” to you as you say goodbye.

           Give kids a high five!
                  Adiós Emma, adiós Riley, adiós Jackson . .  . Nos vemos muy,   REMINDER
                  muy pronto. Adiós  Jenna, adiós Nora, adiós Profe Dunn, nos
                  vemos muy, muy pronto . . .



         Ask  parents to send in pictures of the kids pets or favorite animals. They must be able to be
         cut up to fit in a small bag. Ask if they can print off a small picture and send it in


         Bring in pet or favorite animal picture, p. 32 read and draw, p. 33 1-6
