                               This  type  of  descriptive  writing  resembles  an  argumentative


                      essay. The main goal should be to communicate a series of key points or

                      describe something in detail—with a clear structure. Instead of focusing


                      on the author's own experience, it is necessary to use certain categories


                      of information to give the most complete picture of what the author is

                      describing. This approach can also be appealing, especially when the


                      reader is more curious about the subject of the paper than the author's


                      response to it. Still, try not to bore it with overly formal language. Topics

                      for a formal description could include:


                       •  Descriptive essay about climate change, politics or historical events.


                       •  A news story that gives a summary of an event or information about

                           the place where it happened.
