Page 10 - Mousy Mouse Has a Bad Day
P. 10
Every time Ms. Ratchet would say a name with the “M” sound, Mousy’s heart jumped. But she never heard her name. She did not make 100%. She missed one word and made a 95%, an “A” on the test.
On the way home, Mousy kicked at the dirt in the road and kept saying to herself, “Stupid, stupid, stupid. You are the dumbest one in the whole class. You are going to get an ‘F’ in spelling and fail. Stupid girl, you will have to stay in Ms. Ratchet’s class forever.”
Needless to say, Mousy had a very bad day.
Poor Mousy was having a terrible time. She starts off being upset because someone else has nicer clothes. Then she gets upset because someone says that a used carriage is not any good. Then she cries all the way home because she made an A but not an A+ on a spelling test. I hope that when she has the opportunity to play with her friends her mood gets better. Mousy sure has been upsetting herself a lot lately.
The weekend came and Mousy was playing in the hayloft with the other young mice. Herman, one of the oldest and largest mice of the group said, “Let’s play a game. Let’s play "Get The Cheese.”
