Page 20 - SB-Collard Green Garden
P. 20

Just because someone wants you to feel guilty does not mean that you must feel guilty. In the story, you know that the Rabbit just wanted everyone to stay the same so he could have plenty to eat. If the Young Girl would have controlled her thinking and thought rationally (Good Thinking), she would have understood what the Rabbit was doing and would have changed her thinking to be more effective.
You may need to do the same thing when others try to make you feel guilty about something. You may need to practice Good Thinking (by changing your Stinky Thinking) and stick with Thumbs Up behavior, even when others are whining or trying to make you feel guilty.
1. What Good Thinking could the Young Girl have had when the Rabbit told her about how miserable he was going to be if she changed
the garden?
2. What OK emotions would go with this Good Thinking?
3. What could have been her Thumbs Up behavior?
