When you drive down a street of well-kept lawns and landscaping, the pride of ownership shows and sends a positive message to visitors to our neighborhood. That pride often correlates to higher home value.
Our web-master, Ed Craig has introduced a monthly photo and video for the Yard of the Month winners which appears on the homepage of the Shenandoah Estates website. (www.shawebwatch.com)
You can also submit a nomination for the Yard
of the Month on the Shenandoah Homeowners Association’s Website, www.shawebwatch.com.
“Armed Robbery Suspect Apprehended”
A common cause brought residents together and resulted in their attendance at the July 10th Shenandoah Homeowners Association Board of Directors meeting.
Speakers included officers from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s office and Chester Welch, Chairman, Shenandoah Estates Crime Prevention, and Improvement District.
Officers discussed the issue of crime in Shenandoah Estates, the efforts to prevent crime and promote safety along with a report on the armed robbery which occurred in Shenandoah Estates, the investigation, capture, and detainment of the suspects. SECPID camera on Antioch Blvd and George O’Neal captured the license plate of the car as it was leaving our subdivision. Another real time success story with the use of our security cameras.
Chester Welch discussed the mission of SECPID, what the organization does and how they are working to provide the services expected from the SECPID.
Residents attending the meeting provided several recommendations, and plans were set forth to protect and improve Shenandoah Estates.
Car burglaries in Shenandoah Estates: The Officers said most all of the incidents are the result of handle lifting.
