FIVE ADVICES FOR A SOLID

AND EVERLASTING MARRIAGE

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does
not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is
not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record
of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with
the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres.”

1 Corinthians 13.4-7

In the last chapter, my wife Roseli was generous with her words,
I recognize no one is perfect, and that a life with your partner
must be based on love and respect, to hear and to talk. To decide
living with your partner is a serious thing, there is the factor of
renouncing for both parties, quality time for each one and to not
let habituality to take over the couple’s routine.

I would like to give five advices in this book, that I unders-
tand to be crucial for a lasting, healthy, and successful relationship.
Throughout my life, observing several relationships and medita-
ting upon them, I ended up figuring some things out, and I want
to share them here.

Before making a commitment to Roseli, I pondered about these
five points, and so did she. Fully aligned, we managed to have a
solid relationship, based on complicity, loyalty, forgiveness, and
gratitude. We have achieved and are living a happy family life and
a successful professional life together, and our plans are not only
earthly, but, by my faith, our union is for eternity.
