devastating effects that COVID-19 has had on entertainment venues.
as well, especially locally. So we launched a Facebook live concert series
in August called #815Live that would exclusively feature these local

seven weeks, we welcomed a new artist to our stage and they performed
for our Facebook audience of more than 14,000 followers. This series
was so popular, that we launched it again in February 2021 featuring 4

While introducing our audience to these wonderful local artists was fun,
who had a place to play after months and months of not having the
opportunity. Along with that, many artists described how performing on
the Egyptian Theatre’s stage had been a dream come true. These words
absolutely humbled us as staff who walk this stage every day. As we make
our way out of this pandemic, we hope to have many of these artists back
with live audiences, so their dream of performing on our stage can be
even that more real with people in the seats.
