In Our Society | GKAS 2024
On February 2, 2024 over 300 volunteers saw close to 1000 children at the Cradle of Aviation Museum for
our 2024 Give Kids A Smile event. The children received dental exams, oral hygiene instructions, nutritional
counseling, and, where appropriate, sealants and/or fluoride treatments. The Lion’s Club was on hand to
provide eye screenings as well. The children also received a snack and a backpack to take home filled with
oral hygiene items, informational brochures, a coloring book and crayons, a toy and a postcard good for free
tickets to a L.I. Nets game. Children with acute dental needs were identified and treatment will be arranged
at a later date. Over $100,000 of treatment was performed that day! We thank all our volunteers for giving
up their day to help the children. We also thank all our sponsors, especially Henry Schein who provided over
$10,000 in supplies for the event. A video of the event, created free of charge by Patkin Photography, can
