• On June 29 , NAVAHCS participated in the Annual PTSD Awareness Summit that was
coordinated through Be Connected.
• On July 8 NAVAHCS will host a Virtual Women Veterans Town Hall Event from 5 p.m. – 6

p.m. Any Veterans interested in attending can call: 1-833-490-0775 or go to the link:
access.live/NAVAHCS. Our Women Veterans will receive a robo call reminding them of the

event on July 7 and a second call on July 8 at approximately 5 p.m. If the Veteran wishes
to participate in the Town Hall, they just stay on the line and are automatically connected.
Veteran VA Medical Care Debts
• The VA is cancelling/refunding first party Copayments and cost shares for all Medical
appointments and Medication fills for Dates of Service between April 6, 2020 – September
30, 2021. Refunds are underway and are expected to be completed by July 31, 2021.
• Statements will remain on a freeze until after September 30, 2021.
• Modified statements are to resume in July 2021, after refunds have been initiated.

Housing Updates for Veterans:
• The Grant and Per Diem Program (GPD) currently has 14 Veterans housed through the
Transition in Place program, and 56 Veterans in U.S. Vets Grant and Per Diem transitional
housing. The Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County currently houses 4 Veterans
in Transitional Housing.
• NAVAHCS Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) project has continued its work on completing surveys
and obtaining permits to begin the construction process. The EUL will provide housing on the
VA campus for an anticipated 70 homeless Veterans and estimated to open in early 2023.
• Kingman Veterans Villas project-based VA Supportive Housing opened in September 2020
and currently all 48 units are spoken for. A Grand Opening ceremony is planned for the fall.
• The census of the H-PACT Kingman team has grown to 148 Veterans currently served.
• We are anticipating a start date for a new Homeless Outreach Social Worker in Prescott and
the Hopi Tribal VASH Social Worker in Flagstaff.
• The Williams Stand Down will be held Friday September 10 . There will also be a Stand

Down in Prescott September 17 and 18 , location TBD.
Trust Scores:
• VHA Outpatient Services Survey of the past 90 days shows an 87.5% Trust Score rating which
indicates Veterans trust NAVAHCS with their care. VISN 22 Trust Score was 89.9% for the
same period.
