VA is authorized to approve up to 120 grants per year, an increase from the previous statutory limit of 30 per
fiscal year for Veterans and service members who experienced the loss or loss of use of one lower extremity
                   after September 11, 2001.
The aggregate limit amount for the SAH grant has been raised to $100,896, and the SHA grant has been
                   increased to $20,215.

VA encourages all Veterans, as well as those who know of seriously disabled Veterans who may meet eligibility criteria
for these specialized grants, to become familiar with the SAH grant program. VA is here to serve those who have
served our country, and that is especially true for those who can benefit from the SAH program.
