Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NAVAHCS)
Update July 20, 2021
Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NAVAHCS) appreciates our Veterans
and your continued patience as we navigate the ‘new normal’. Although mask
requirements have been updated, businesses are opening back up and people are
starting to attend social gatherings, we are not out of the woods yet.
th
Unfortunately, since the July 4 holiday, we have seen a spike in COVID-19 cases
in Yavapai County as well as other areas of Arizona. The Department of Health
and Human Services and the CDC have determined that the current positive
COVID-19 cases are individuals who did not receive the vaccine.
Those who have already been fully vaccinated are protected against the current
variant that is circulating. Please consider getting vaccinated if you have not yet
done so, you can learn more here.
Vaccine Information:
The COVID-19 vaccine is available to ALL Veterans, spouses and caregivers.
Please call 928-717-7406 to schedule your appointment. NAVAHCS has separate
clinics for either the Moderna two-shot vaccine regimen or the Johnson & Johnson
(Janssen) single dose regimen. The vaccine is offered at all NAVAHCS VA
Clinics. When you call for your appointment, you may schedule either vaccine of
your choice. Please share this information with your fellow Veterans who may not
be enrolled at the VA. If you served in the military, regardless of VA eligibility
status, you can receive the FREE COVID-19 vaccine.
Veterans can also go to MyHealtheVet and OPT-IN to be placed on the call list for
scheduling.
Thank you for helping NAVAHCS be among the leaders in the COVID-19
response and COVID-19 vaccination efforts!
