Women Veteran Program

To VFL Community Partners:

Veterans First is leading the Native American Women Veterans Program to include the Navajo and
Hopi Nations with the necessities they do not have but desperately need. There are approximately
165 Women Veterans combined between the two Nations. We are working with the Women Veteran
Coordinators of both Nations as to the needs and ensuring the donations are given to the women.

We are asking our community partners to assist us in donating the below needed items in support of
the Native American Women Veterans. In addition, many of the Women Veterans and their children
are at the Domestic Violence Shelter in Chinle, AZ, which is the heart of the Navajo Nation. The
donated items will also assist the women and children in the shelter.

We are asking that all the donated items be delivered no later than May 15, 2021 to your Team
Leaders. The donated items will be picked up from the Team Leaders the week of May 17, 2021 and
,
will be transported to the Navajo and Hopi Nations the week of May 24 2021.

The Donation List came from the Navajo and Hopi Women Veteran Coordinators. We do not expect
you to get every item on the list. You are welcome to choose what you would like to donate.

If you are unable to purchase items and want to assist this program we welcome financial donation as
well. The money will be used to purchase items that fulfill the needs and purchase specialty items
that may be needed. If you are sending a check please make out to Veterans First Ltd with Native
American Women Veterans in the Memo line and send to the address at the bottom of the flyer.

Please note the specific instructions for the packing and labeling of the donated items. Your Team
Leaders will have an In-Kind Donation Receipt if requested for tax purposes.

IT IS SPECIALLY REQUESTED THAT NO SMALL APPLIANCES, FOOD, FURNITURE, USED
STUFFED ANIMALS, BOOKS (Only children books), PILLOWS, OR DISHES BE DONATED.
