VHA VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION – COMPENSATED WORK THERAPY (CWT):
• So far this year the VHA Vocational Rehabilitation program has helped over 30 Veterans
obtain employment within the community.
• The CWT program offers weekly informational webinars that provide participants with detailed
information on all the employment services available to Veterans through the VHA Vocational
Rehabilitation/CWT program. If you would like more information please contact Sean
Hankison at (928) 445-4860, ext. 6839.
Transition Care Management (TCM) Program:
• TCM Program is undergoing a name change to “Post 9/11 Military to VA (MSVA)” Case
Management Program. The name change reflects the transition work being done with
separating Service Members, as well as highlights the program’s scope and specialty.
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Program:
• NAVAHCS Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program (IPVAP) concluded the first Strength
at Home (SAH) group intervention cohort with 100% retention. The second cohort is currently
in its tenth week of twelve and on course with referrals to begin the third cohort by the end of
April 2021.We will continue to offer this service virtually as we have been able to provide this
specialized service to Veterans within NAVAHCS’s entire catchment area. Please send any
referrals or questions to Beth Goldstein, LCSW at beth.goldstein@va.gov.
Community Care Updates:
• VA is handling Community Care referrals from start to finish, meaning VA will authorize,
schedule, and complete referrals with records uploaded from the community providers.
• Once a referral is clinically approved, Veterans will be given the option of community providers
who are contracted with the VA for care. Veterans are then encouraged to reach out to the
provider office for appointment scheduling and to notify Community Care staff at NAVAHCS of
their appointment.
• Veterans should add the NAVAHCS phone number to their cell phones (928) 445-4860. We
are hearing that this number comes up at times as “Potential Spam” and failure to respond to
calls can cause a delay in receiving care. A Gov Delivery message was sent out to Veterans
asking them to add our number to their contact list to prevent this from happening.
• Since April 1, 2021 the VA has been exclusively contracted with Community Care Network
(CCN). Only community providers who have opted into CCN will be offered to Veterans as
options for care and reimbursed by the VA for the care, with few exceptions.
Trust Scores:
VHA Outpatient Services Survey of the past 90 days shows an 88.5% Trust Score rating which
indicates Veterans trust NAVAHCS with their care. VISN 22 Trust Score was 89.7% for the same
period.

community together and talk about some of the challenges that our Veterans face. The training is
approximately two hours long and some of the topics of discussion will be moral injury and suicide
prevention. All community clergy members are welcome to participate. If anyone is interested in
attending the training, please contact Chaplain Christian at 928-445-4860 ext. 6055.
