New Logo for Province

A FIRST FOR THE PROVINCE OF SOMERSET

When R W Bro Philip Voisey became Provincial Grand
Master in May 2019 he wanted to create a new Logo for the
Province, one which would cover both the Mark and the
Royal Ark Mariner degrees.
After many attempts from a small team trying to find the
right image a double banner was agreed upon but now the
difficult task of getting the right clarity and quality faced
them. The Keystone magazine is printed by The IQ Digital
House , Their CEO W Bro Gerry Chillcott, a Grand Officer
in the Somerset Mark Degree asked Gary Cronk his digital
Director to design the doubled banner from scratch , he
produced a stunning design working only from photos of
the two existing banners.

Having gained approval from Grand Lodge the new logo is now being incorporated into the admin
of the Somerset province.
R W Bro Philip commented “We took a long time to figure out the right design but in the double
banner I think we have created something special and a first for the Province”
