Post stroke
Newly diagnosed hypertension patients with SBP≥140 mmHg or DBP≥90 mmHg.
High attributable risk of HTN for stroke: 25-50%
Diuretics are superior to RAS blockers and CCBs for
secondary prevention of stroke.
Drugs with complementary mechanisms of action are
preferred for combinations and should be administered
1 Pill as a single pill combination when possible.
