6. Guidelines for surveillance and monitoring patients under investigation of COVID-19 and issuance of emergency
command
The Department of Airports has conducted operations pursuant to the Notification of the Civil Aviation
Authority of Thailand on Guidelines for Domestic Flight Operations during COVID-19 Pandemic Situation. Initially,
when a passenger with body temperature over 37.3 degree Celsius is found, the provincial public health officers
stationed at every airport will inquire about travel and infection risk history of the passenger. Passengers with
high-risk assessment are required to use airport’s designated exit to avoid contact with other passengers or airport
users and follow infection preventive procedures of public health agencies. The airport will perform deep-cleaning
and disinfection in such areas and follow up diagnosis of the passenger from relevant agencies.
