APPLE CLASSROOM

What is Apple Classroom?
Apple Classroom is an app used by teachersto support the use of iPadsin teaching & learning. It is used to guide
learning, share work, manage and monitor how you are using your iPads during lessons, prep and supervised
activities, such as group tutor time.

Joining a Class
When you are invited to join a class, you will be given a 4 digit code and you must always join the classes you are
instructed to do so by clicking on the following:

Settings - Classroom - New Class Invitation - Enter Code

When joining a new class please enter your first name and surname, so you are easily recognisable, make sure you
select the following settings and don’t change them unless told to do so by your teacher.
• Join Classes – Automatically
• Lock Apps and Device – Always
• AirPlay and View Screen – Always
Apple Classroom works over Bluetooth, so make sure your Bluetooth is always Switched
On when in lessons, prep and supervised activities.

Leaving a Class
Only leave a class when instructed to do so by your teacher, if you change a group/set or at
the end of the academic year. Teachers don’t want to have to get you to rejoin classes each
lesson – this is time consuming and unnecessary.
