• Formal Uniform - Everyday uniform with white shirt/ blouse and school suit jacket
• All shirts and blouses need to be tucked in and allow the student to move freely within them.
Skirts
Skirts should be unaltered in length and not rolled up, so they sit at or just above the knee. In Sixth Form, Skirts and dresses
should be tailored below, on or just above the knee. Dresses do not need to be worn with a shirt or blouse, provided that the
shoulders are covered.
Shirts and blouses should be tucked in at all times. All students should wear a plain white shirt or blouse with their suit for
formal occasions, such as Headmaster’s Assemblies, Wells Cathedral services and away matches.
Appropriate skirt length is on the knee, or just above the knee. “Just above” means up to 2 inches or three fingers width.
Stretchy Lycra / tube skirts are not part of a suit. General smartness - shirts tucked in, neat hair, clothes, and shoes in good
state of repair. For further details, please see refer to the clothing guides.
Trousers are also an option, but should not be made of Lycra i.e., they should be the sort of trousers that are able to hold a
crease.
All students require core items of the Millfield-branded sports clothing (tracksuit, shorts and top) which should be purchased
from the school shop.
Non-Millfield sports kit may not be worn around campus during the school day. This includes house hoodies, club tops and
Kukri kit.
Skorts/Shorts may not be worn in the dining hall at breakfast or lunch. Students must ensure they obtain a Kit Chit on the
Millfield App if they are wearing kit.
