Student Voice

One of the most important drivers for positive change at school is the voice of the student body, and it is a central part of
development as a school that we listen to the student voice. A new student council structure has been set up for 2024/2025
and we look forward to how this can bring even more positive change to the leadership and future of the decision-making of
the school. Students are encouraged to put themselves forward to support this process and more information will be given by
          their tutor as terms starts.

Students can contribute feedback and comments on the Student Voice page by scanning the QR code below or visiting

          Sanctions

          Detentions

The member of staff setting a Level 1, or “personal detention”, will work with the student to negotiate when the detention will
be sat. Level 1 detentions can override all other non-priority school commitments; all other detentions will typically override
          all other school commitments.
Failure to attend a detention, late arrival without good reason or not completing the detention in line with the published
expectations will result in an escalation to the next disciplinary level.

Students who receive more than one detention within a week should sit the first one received that week and the second
received at the earliest opportunity. More than two detentions accrued in a week should prompt an intervention from the HoY
and the possible issuing of a single higher detention. The HoY and HsM will discuss the student support sanctions.

Students will attend detentions and report to key staff as directed in the table.
