YEAR 10/11 COURSES

The move from Year 9 to Year 10 is a really exciting one.
Finally you will get the opportunity to tailor your curriculum a
little more to what you are really interested in and what you
enjoy. All the information you need is in this guide. Some
subjects are compulsory – these are the core subjects and are
detailed on the next page but what options are you going to
choose?

There is a lot to consider. What subjects are your strengths?
What subjects do you enjoy the most? What subjects might
you want to choose for sixth form later on? What
qualifications suit you best? Older students will be coming to
your group tutors sessions as well so do ask them what the
subjects are like. You are not on your own in making these
decisions – your parents, your subject teachers, your group
tutor and your housemaster/housemistress are all here to
help you.

We will be asking for your choices after the Easter break so
there is plenty of time to ask any questions that you might
have. Take your time and think carefully.
