lab tests or a medical examination will tell what
the underlying cause of the fatigue is due to.
However, what happens when all of the tests
come back negative and the doctor says, “We
do not see anything wrong with you.”?
The reason the cause of fatigue may not
show up on tests is because there is no “overt”
cause that medical exams can find. Sometimes
this is simply due to many systems either not
communicating properly or each of those
systems working less efficiently – not enough
to show up on a lab test but enough to cause a
decrease in function which leads to fatigue.
What can be done to alleviate my
fatigue?
Like all medical problems, the underlying
cause needs to be determined. Standard lab
tests and a medical exam should be performed.
If these do not show an overt cause, there are
other means by which to look for problems in
the body.
