STUDENTS OF DPS JAMMU PARTICIPATE IN GREEN
LIFE CONTEST ON ‘WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2022’

tudents from Delhi Public School Jammu actively participated in “Green Life Contest” on the
occasion of World Environment Day-2022 organized by Department of Ecology, Environment
S& Remote Sensing, J&K in collaboration with Department of School Education. The contest was
conducted through online mode. The students who participated in the contest were:-
Tanvi Sharma (XII), Mani Sharma (XII), Akansha Bhasin (XII), Oshin Pandita (XII), Rida Imran
(XII), Sneha Srivastava (X) & Dhriti Mahajan (X). All the participants were presented the Certificate of
Participation.
A VISIT TO IIIM JAMMU

a visit to CSIR-IIIM Jammu for
about 100 students along with their
teacher incharges, Dr. Gurmeet
Kour and Ms. Bhanu Dubey. The
students were invited for OPEN
DAY which is planned every year
on 29th September. On this day
students were invited to visit the
research institute and experience research designs and work done by the great scientists and scholars.
The students were divided into two groups and each group was escorted by a research scholar. Students
visited the labs and saw the medicines and drugs made by the scientists. Students also visited Janaki Ammal
Herbarium and Crude Drug repository and came across various latest techniques like tissue culture and
pictures of thousand years old drug, Sanjeevani which was used in Ramayana. All the students were satisfied
and happy to visit the different scientific laboratories which will be beneficial to them in future.
